Nickel is a heavy metal with wide industrial applications. The wastewater generated by its processing contains significant amounts of nickel that must be removed before it is discharged into the environment. Exposure to nickel can cause health problems such as skin irritation, asthma and cancer.
Nickel ion can be removed from nickel-containing wastewater by various techniques from GESU Environmental Technologies: chemical precipitation, ion flotation, ion exchange, adsorption, membrane filtration and electrochemical processes.
