Detergent content in wastewater contributes to water pollution. Recent studies have shown that surfactants accumulate significantly in sediments close to the discharge area of large sewage treatment plants and endanger the aquatic ecosystem. Similarly, in water treatment plants using membrane technology, the accumulation of detergent content on the membrane surface causes the membrane filters to become clogged. Therefore, the filtration process is adversely affected.
The efficient, ecological and cost-effective aerobic wastewater treatment system used by GESU can be used to remove the detergent content in wastewater.
